He was a native Mojave on Earth. In 2254, Pike led a landing party to Rigel IV, where they were attacked by Kaylor warriors. Pike’s expedition was heavily wounded and his spirit was wounded as well.

He was born in 2195. He oversaw construction of the USS Enterprise. He was the first captain of the ship, and his wife, Sarah, was the Chief Medical Officer.
